About the Forum

 

The NYU WISC Global Forum is an annual leadership forum bringing together senior leaders from government, business, finance, technology, academia, and allied nations to advance the systems and partnerships that underpin prosperity, resilience, and strategic advantage.

Anchored by WISC research and informed by leaders shaping policy and practice, the Forum focuses on practical strategies to accelerate AI diffusion, mobilize strategic capital, strengthen productive capacity, and build the trusted institutions and partnerships democracies need to compete and thrive in an era of strategic competition.

2027 Theme: Building Trusted Systems at Scale

Economic and technological leadership increasingly depends on trusted systems that connect technology, capital, infrastructure, manufacturing, talent, and allied cooperation. The 2027 Forum will explore how to build the institutional capacity to integrate and deploy these systems at scale.

Winning the AI Diffusion Race

Leadership in AI will depend not only on developing frontier models, but on deploying trusted AI across economies and allied networks. This session will explore the policies, partnerships, and institutions needed to accelerate adoption while advancing security, interoperability, and democratic values.

Financing Trusted Systems

Strategic infrastructure requires new approaches to mobilizing public and private capital. This session will explore how governments, development finance institutions, investors, and industry can work together to finance the AI stack, digital and energy infrastructure, logistics networks, and other critical assets that underpin long-term competitiveness.

Building Allied Productive Capacity

Strategic competition depends on the ability to build, manufacture, and deploy at scale. This session will explore how nations can strengthen industrial capacity, resilient supply chains, skilled workforces, and advanced manufacturing ecosystems to drive economic growth, technological leadership, and national security.
